About Beaufort Bookshop

Words are important to us at The Beaufort Bookshop.

We love reading them in our carefully curated selection of pre-loved and new fiction and non-fiction; writing them in one of our exciting range of creative writing workshops; teaching them in high-quality one-to-one or small group tutorials; and listening to them over an evening, during a talk, debate or stimulating presentation.

Our aim is for every day at the bookshop to be an event in itself, with something for every age to enjoy. For instance, toddlers can have fun interacting with our great selection of early readers and getting to grips with rudimentary handwriting in the morning, while later in the day the older generation may be drafting the life story they always wanted to write! Indeed, multiple studies have shown the life-extending benefits of the kind of community engagement on offer at the bookshop.

Of course, you may just want to watch the world go by with a cup of coffee and bash out a bestseller on your laptop. That’s cool too. We’ve thought carefully about providing space for reflection and the kind of quiet time that word lovers usually relish.

Anyway, enough waffle. Just come in, say hi, and introduce yourself to Larkhall’s new cultural hub.

See you soon,
